Mrs. McGillisMrs. McGillis

Mrs. McGillis has taught for 19 years, 15 of those years were as a St'át'imc teacher. She was born in Shalalth. She came from a family of 12 kids. Her first school was an Indian day school. When she was little she was sent to residential school in Kamloops. She teaches St'át'imc in three schools. They are Cayoosh Elementary, George M. Murray, and Sk'il'. In 1989 she got her Bachelor of Education at U.B.C. Outside of school she likes to help other people with writing the St'át'imc dictionary. She also likes to knit. Mrs. McGillis is the coolest teacher!
